This is Anaya in her witch costume.  She  was such a good sport.

She's also has a zebra costume her Tia Melinda made for her.  

Halloween is one of my favorite days.  I was one of those kids who always had a costume and continued on into my adult life.  But the funnest was dressing up Gabi, she was always game to dress up!  Here's some past Halloweens with her!

Moving into the NAU dorm

Just over 18 years ago Gabi Buckley came into my life and I’ve been blessed to be a part of her life.  This week she moved into her dorm at NAU (Northern Arizona University) in Flagstaff.  We helped her move in and get her room somewhat organized.  

I made her a quilt using her Tshirts from city rec youth volleyball.  I've had them years and just wasn't sure what to do with them.  I sewed them up like a rag quilt.  It's not a full size quilt but it should work perfectly to snuggle on those cool nights in Flagstaff.

Every year for years we set up our courtyard as a cemetery.  We had coffins with a dead someone jump out.  We had lights, fog, webs, and tons of scary props.  We had kids play dead kids who scared the bah-jibbies out of the kids.  It was a blast.  The past couple of years the kid helpers have outgrown the fun and our neighborhood has grown up, too.   Not many kids out so we haven't had a haunted courtyard cemetery for a long time.  I miss the fun. 

 

Gabi & Christine.  Gabi would walk towards the trick or treaters and ask for her mom.  It was so scary for the kids.

This was the last major group of our haunted yard.  It was so much fun.

Homecoming 2013

Here's Gabi and it's her senior year so everything she does is a photo event. It's hard to believe she's a senior and will soon be on her way to college!  Where has the time gone....
