Midnight, again

I was on-line with Zachariah and he asked to see the photos from the trip to Lincoln. I forgot about those photos, we had a fun time.

Can you find Zachariah and Christine????
(Hint - top row)

This was the view from my seat.

Okay, this is my sister and she really believes she's meeting real life stars! She stopped to pet the dog!

We headed north to farm country. My husband's family farm and they were in the middle of combining the soybean fields. We all got a ride in the huge combine and we even lost Zachariah somewhen on the farm. "FEAR the CORN".

On a very sad note, my mother-in-law, Barb passed away unexpectly only a few days after our visit this Sunday day. We had a good visit and she cooked a homemade supper for us.

She lived a happy good long life filled with love and family.

Wow, it's November already!!

Where does the time go? Actually, here we go with that time thing, huh? One day it's super hot outside and today is a perfect sunny day. I have rainbows in "my studio" (formally my craftroom). I thought I would post some photos of my studio, where all the magic is. I never spend enough time (that time thing again!) in this room.

Here's some random photos of things I have in here.

Random collection of pens/pencils

Notebooks waiting to be altered

Books & memories

Beautiful teacup I found in San Diego

Great tier holder of stuff

Wow, color everywhere!

Every Studio has it's QUEEN, & every QUEEN must have her TIARA!

Things that went on

I decided to post everything going on in one post....so here it goes.

Went to San Diego twice in the last couple of weeks...

First weekend was spent at the beach...but I'm not much of a beach person and here's my observations. You have to like the sun no I should say LOVE the sunshine, you can't mind a few people...a few hundred people, you need to step into the ocean...okay more like be thrown by the ocean, and finally you have to appreciate the sandy beach....cuz it's everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE! I have photos but I must spare you. Okay just one...

This is Sebastian enjoying the beach.

The rest of the trip was spend enjoying our friends. I even made tortillas twice! Nothin better than homemade hot tortillas with butter!!!!

We shopped and I bought a zebra purse...lookie..

Okay their faux purses, but yes they're two different ones. I didn't like the first one so I went back and got a different one... Yes, my sister, Melinda is the lucky one to get it.

My next trip I drove the Mini Lula to San Diego last week for a concert.

Had a blast...

Kings of Leon

"Sex on Fire" "Use Somebody"

While in San Diego we had fun visiting with friends. Went to Sebastian's pop warner football game.

#6
But Sebastian got hurt and boy he was a tough cookie. Not pain no gain.

Remember I introduced you to Leah Grace? This is me and her Auntie when she first arrived at Children's Hospital from St. Joe's.
We had some very sad news. Baby Leah Grace passed on. I was fortunate enough to spend time with her the night before she passed. She touched us all and she was loved. My prayers and sympathy to her family and friends. Finally, I went to NAU to see Christine. She is adjusting so well and is lovin it. My boy Zachariah sent her some flowers to wish her a good first week! He's the best....

The rest of the week was spent cleaning the house...getting ready for the party...yes it's margarita time! Here's the invite.

More fun

Took a trip to Nebraska and while I was there I was lucky enough to find some time to go thrift shopping. I found the coolest sewing machine. Once I clean it up I'll post. Also for no reason whatsoever I found two cool blue pieces of samsonite luggage. Again, I'll post once I clean them. Found other odd and ins but what I found more importantly is the fun I was missing from not going thrifting. So that's my newfound adventure. Except it's way hot here to even get in & out of my mini lula.
I started painting my bedroom and boy do I see a great room coming along!

Middle of Summer

I can't believe I've stayed away from my blog for so long. I have been busy and have lots to share.

First of all, my kid (nephew) graduated in May.

Then Tom and I decided to invite Elvis to our party and we renewed our wedding vows (25 years).

It was so much fun. It was even better since my mom and two of my sisters were here to celebrate with us.

Dang, where does the time go???

I have had the busiest May ever. I promise to post photos of all the activities. Graduation, family visiting, renewing our vows, photo projects of everything going on and swimming season!

Here's one photo I have to share. Meet Leah Grace Buckley. She is two months old this day. She is in the NICU unit and continues to gain strength. Please keep her in your prayers.

Zachariah's Senior Photo Shoot

Why oh why is it so tough to get a boy to smile??? This was our first attempt to get a good set. We plan to do it again this week and we should have more to show off.....

Christine's Senior Photos

We decided to do the garage shoot and here's a peek of how it went.
We still want to go to my graffiti wall.

Prom Night

Zachariah on his prom night. From what I heard he danced the night away.

Christine on prom night, too. They both went to the same prom but with their own group of friends. I made Christine's dress and I must say it turned out perfect. She had the design idea and I was able to create it for her. She looked absolutely adorable.

Here they are together. They both looked awesome.

Friday, April 10, 2009

What a week, caught a stomach bug and have struggled all week. But it's Friday and looking forward to the weekend....hunting eggs and eating chocolate bunnies!
Even tho I was sick I got a lot done. Working on Christine's red prom dress. I'll post photo once it's finished. Celebrated Zachariah's 18th birthday with a ice cream cake and bbq. Dealt with outdoor furniture cushion problem...bought them last week and they went on sale and the stupid store has too many price adjustment rules! But I out smarted them and got my way... cushions even cheaper!
Tomorrow we're shopping for his tux for prom. We're also doing a senior photo garage session for both Zachariah and Christine. That should be a blast since both are pretty photogenic.

Wedding photos

My friend, Kathleen's wedding. I was nervous about this gig. I knew the lighting would be a challenge and boy was it.... thanks for Photoshop.

It was a busy month....

I've been painting anytime I can find atleast 10 minutes to sit still. My friend, Melissa brought her sister to paint. Her sister sure has some painting talent. I wish I would of photographed her art piece. My creative plate has been full. I photographed a wedding, sewing a prom dress, helped my sister with her restaurant taxes, and keeping up with my nephew's college stuff. Plus working. I know I'm as busy as most multi-taskers, huh?

We're going to another Art Walk tomorrow... more inspiration. Coolest art, music and people!

Checkout this ceiling I found at last month's Art Walk.

Also, my hubby and I celebrated our 25th anniversary this week. It was fun thinking back on our wedding day...how he was late, which has never changed. Like Iyanla Vanzant said... "if you want to know the end, look at the beginning".

Here's some photos to enjoy...

WINSTON, always wondering what I'm doing

This piece of art is very special. I made it specially for my dear friend, Cathy. The background papers are from a song book she gave me of her friend, Alice Wallace. Dragonflies symbolize Cathy and RED is Cathy

This next one is a small canvas for my office...

Alia's 1st Birthday card...
